2-Ethyl Hexanol (2-EH, CAS 104-76-7) is a branched-chain primary alcohol with ≥99.6% purity, serving as the most important raw material for plasticizer production worldwide. As the key feedstock for manufacturing DOP, DOTP, and other phthalate and terephthalate plasticizers, 2-EH is fundamental to the flexible PVC industry. With density 0.831-0.833 g/cm³, acid content ≤0.01%, and sulfuric acid color test ≤25 (platinum-cobalt), our 2-EH meets the exacting specifications of major plasticizer producers. Beyond plasticizer manufacturing, it finds applications in solvent formulations, coatings, and as a chemical intermediate for specialty syntheses including esters, acrylates, and agricultural chemicals.

Solvent choice trades evaporation rate against solvency: a moderate rate leaves time to flow and level, a fast rate shortens the drying step. We match the solvent specification to the resin system and to the drying window the line runs at.
Downstream synthesis inherits whatever the intermediate carries, so a consistent assay and low impurity levels matter more than a headline purity figure. The buyer's own specification sets the assay limits we ship, not a catalogue range.
A coating needs solvency for the resin and a film that stays flexible without staying tacky, and the solvent's evaporation rate sets how long it can flow and level. We match solvent and plasticizer to the formulation and to the cure schedule.
